Fpm 100 Intro to Facility Management
This course familiarizes the student with the business of Facility Management as it pertains to the FM Professional. It introduces the concepts of operations and maintenance technology, management of people and the administration of real estate and construction projects. Facility Management is an exciting and ever-changing filed. This course also emphasizes that successful facility mangers possess high leadership and organizational qualities.
Fpm 101 Operations and Maintenance
This is a practical study of the Facility Managers role in administrating and maintaining a building or site. Thought the use of technology, the facility management student will discover how to set-up a preventive maintenance system, contract and maintain relationships with outside vendors and administer an in-house staff.
Fpm 102 Code and Regulation Compliance
The student will become informed about the Codes, Regulations and Systems that are needed to comply with the various bodies that govern building occupancy and safety. Objectives include familiarization of regulatory bodies like OSHA and participation in the set-up of continuous improvement methods like Behavior Based Safety Programs.
Fpm 104 Technology
This is a hands-on introduction into the computer technology that helps the Facility Management Professional maintain a database of information. With the use of these systems, the facilities management professional will be able to create reports and drawings on space utilization, equipment maintenance and occupancy programming using AutoCAD and Archibus/facilites management software systems*
Fpm 200 Construction and Renovation
It is inevitable that the facilities management professional will be required to adapt, expand or build a building or site. In this course the student will learn the concepts of the building cycle, space programming, construction contract types and project management principles.
Fpm 202 Quality and Innovation
The facilities management professional is required to keep track of data and report to other groups in an organization. In this course the student will learn the concepts of reports, benchmarking, continuous improvement and innovation. These qualities help the facilities management professional to control costs and evaluate systems and methods.
Fpm 210 Business Workshop
This is a study of the state of the facilities.
